Prior to joining Writers House, Dan was executive editor at both Putnam and HarperCollins, and director of literary acquisitions at PolyGram Filmed Entertainment. He also authored the blog BookAngst 101, an insider’s account of the publishing industry, written under the pseudonym Mad Max Perkins.
