May 13 Zoom Meeting: Mark Dawidziak Brings Edgar Allan Poe Back to Life

Mark Dawidziak What was the cause of Edgar Allan Poe’s untimely death in October of 1847, at the age of 40? What happened to him in the three missing days before he was found, delirious and “in great distress” on the streets of Baltimore, wearing ill-fitting clothes that were not his own?

Mark Dawidziak’s Edgar-nominated biography, A Mystery of Mysteries: The Death and Life of Edgar Allan Poe, examines the renowned author’s life through the prism of his mysterious death and its many possible causes. In the process, as The New York Journal of Books raves, Dawidziak has produced “a mystery worthy of Poe’s fictional sleuth C. Auguste Dupin.”

Join us on Zoom on May 13 as we dive into A Mystery of Mysteries. Or, as Poe himself might have said, “Let your heart be still a moment and this mystery explore.”

Oh, one more thing. In addition to his many books on subjects such as Mark Twain, Dracula and The Twilight Zone, Dawidziak has authored The Columbo Phile, a cornerstone reference work on the beloved Peter Falk series. Find more on Mark and his work at www.markdawidziak.com.
