Brian\u00a0Rose<\/a>, professor emeritus in the Fordham University Department of Communications and Media Studies, will discuss the movies and suspense techniques of Alfred Hitchcock at our November meeting via Zoom. (Note<\/strong>: This meeting is on a Monday.)<\/p>\n

He’ll\u00a0cover the director’s early career, Hitchcock’s most popular films,\u00a0and the actors he liked to use. Brian’s talk will be accompanied by an abundance of film clips selected from the suspense master’s work.<\/p>\n

Brian has authored several books on television history and cultural programming, and has conducted\u00a0more than a hundred Q&A sessions with leading directors, actors, and writers for the Academy\u00a0of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, the British Academy of Film and\u00a0Television Arts, and the Directors Guild of America.\u00a0He has lectured via Zoom at\u00a0numerous\u00a0venues, including the Smithsonian and at libraries around the country.<\/p>\n
