November 13 Zoom Meeting: Hitchcock’s Films and Suspense Techniques

Brian Rose, professor emeritus in the Fordham University Department of Communications and Media Studies, will discuss the movies and suspense techniques of Alfred Hitchcock at our November meeting via Zoom. (Note: This meeting is on a Monday.)

He’ll cover the director’s early career, Hitchcock’s most popular films, and the actors he liked to use. Brian’s talk will be accompanied by an abundance of film clips selected from the suspense master’s work.

Brian has authored several books on television history and cultural programming, and has conducted more than a hundred Q&A sessions with leading directors, actors, and writers for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, the Screen Actors Guild, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and the Directors Guild of America. He has lectured via Zoom at numerous venues, including the Smithsonian and at libraries around the country.
