New York Times bestselling thriller author Dan Fesperman joins us by Zoom on July 11 to discuss his career. The former Baltimore Sun foreign correspondent’s travel to war zones and 30 countries has inspired 13 novels with stories of intrigue on an international stage. Dan’s coverage of the siege of Sarajevo was the motivation for his first novel, Lie In the Dark, which won Britain’s John Creasey Memorial Dagger Award for best crime novel. His international assignments also included Germany, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Middle East.
Subsequent novels have won numerous awards—including the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award for best thriller and the Dashiell Hammett Prize from the International Association of Crime Writers—and been selected by USA Today as the year’s best mystery/thriller novel.
